Mr. Dean Sippel is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience leading operational transformation in education and healthcare. As Chief Operating Officer of Strayer University and CEO of the Jack Welch Management Institute, Dean was instrumental in expanding access to high-quality education for adult learners nationwide.
Under his leadership, the Jack Welch MBA program evolved from a start-up into a nationally ranked, student-centered institution with more than 10,000 alumni. At Strayer University, Dean spearheaded the reopening and revitalization of 57 campuses post-pandemic, ensuring strong academic outcomes, driving consistent growth and enhancing the student experience across the board.
Dean is widely recognized for building high-performing teams, mentoring emerging leaders, and forging strategic partnerships that connect education with real-world career opportunities. His collaborative work with major employers has brought customized learning programs directly to the workplace, bridging the gap between academic achievement and professional advancement.
With a strong foundation in healthcare operations, Dean brings a pragmatic, service-oriented approach to organizational growth and innovation. He holds an MBA from Saint Louis University and a BA in Business Administration from Westminster College. Dean and his wife, Jennifer, have one daughter, Caroline, who is pursuing her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University.
