Pathway Overview

Fast-track your way to an MD. This Pre-Med Pathway is designed for students who need a flexible, accessible route to medical school. Whether you're right out of high school, a working professional balancing a career, or military personnel on the move, this pathway allows you to complete your pre-med requirements on your own schedule.

This pathway supports students at multiple entry points, from completing one prerequisite course to finishing the full 60-credit pathway, which results in an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree and prepares students for advancement into Trinity’s MD Program.

Pre-Med Requirements

  • Completion of high school, General Educational Development (GED) test, or an equivalent educational experience sufficient for college or university admission. Minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Verbal, written, and conversational proficiency in English.

Transition to MD Program

  • Eligibility:
    • Successful completion of undergraduate requirements.
    • Minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
  • MCAT Requirement:
    • Required for US citizens and permanent residents.
    • Not required for Canadian or other international applicants.
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation:
    • Recommended sources are your university pre-health advising office, professors, physicians, or supervisors.
    • Letters may be sent to the Admissions Office via Interfolio.com. Letter writers may also submit their material via direct email to admissions@trinitysom.org.
