Trinity School of Medicine 2018 Match Results: New States, New Specialties, New Records

Without a doubt, one of the most stressful and exciting days in the lives of medical students, (and medical school administrations) is Match Day. 2018 was no exception. We have a lot of ground to cover, so we're going to dive right in, but first, we want to congratulate our 2018 match candidates. We could not be more proud of another record setting year in the match.

This year, we broke new ground in programs, specialties, and states. We also returned to programs across the US and Canada that stand testament to the reputation of past Trinity residents that continue to open doors for their fellow alums with their work ethic, compassion, and integrity. We are proud and grateful in equal measure of what Trinity graduates have accomplished in our school's first ten years.

Trinity School of Medicine Students Hold Carnival at Local Children's Home

Last week, the members of the Trinity Kid Companions held their annual children’s carnival. For those unaware, the event is for the residents of the St. Benedict Children’s Home and Day Nursery as well as the neighboring Bread of Life Orphanage. The children living at these homes are primarily orphans with a wide array of special needs.

While the student group works with the residents of the home year round, the carnival is a next-level day for everyone involved. The residents enjoy a long afternoon of fun, games, and other adaptive activities with their adult companions from Trinity School of Medicine. Read on for the story of the day and gallery.

Demystifying Title IV and an Exciting Student Loan Update from Trinity School of Medicine

After the US Department of Education's NCFMEA recognized our accreditation as comparable to the LCME, we received a number of questions about Title IV and future plans for Trinity. While we can't say it won't ever be an option for us, we are not currently offering Title IV loans for our students. The reasons why are fairly straightforward (it would limit access to Trinity for US students). There are some misunderstandings out there about how Title IV actually works, so we're going to dive into the entire situation here, today.

We're also going to cover our newly improved student loan program, and how it's actually a better deal than the current federal loans out there. Ready? Let's go.
