2026 Match Results

Trinity is pleased to share that the 2026 Match Cycle marks another impressive year, with strong placements across top university programs.

According to the AMA, the 2026 Main Residency Match was the largest in NRMP history, with 44,344 positions offered, a 2.6% increase from 2025, 48,050 certified applicants, a 1.8% increase from 2025, and a 93.3% fill rate for PGY-1 positions. The NRMP reported 9,682 IMGs securing first-year positions, accounting for approximately 23.6% of all matched applicants, filling critical roles across high-need specialties and underserved communities throughout the United States.

At Trinity, our students achieved a 98% match rate, with placements in competitive specialties including Surgery, Neurology, and OB/GYN. We also celebrated CaRMS Canadian matches this year, reflecting the strength and reach of our graduates.
