Coming This Fall: New Anatomy Lab at Trinity

Trinity School of Medicine is pleased to announce that the Steve and Sally Wilson Anatomy Lab is on track to open this fall. Located on our Basic Science campus in St. Vincent, this modern facility will feature a 1,600-square-foot main floor with six cadaver tables, lockers, washrooms, storage areas, and two Anatomage virtual dissection/3D anatomy visualization tables. A 1,400-square-foot covered plaza deck on the second level will provide additional space for learning and community activities.
The new lab underscores Trinity’s commitment to delivering exceptional medical education by blending traditional hands-on anatomy experience with advanced technology. MD students will benefit from direct cadaver interaction that strengthens tactile and kinesthetic learning, plastinated specimens that allow them to observe intricate dissections with exceptional detail, and virtual dissection tools that prepare them for the latest clinical technologies. Together, these resources build a robust anatomical foundation essential for clinical rotations and medical practice.

Named in honor of Trinity’s founding president, Steve Wilson, and his wife, Sally Wilson, this new lab reflects their enduring legacy and Trinity’s continued commitment to providing exceptional medical education through both traditional and advanced learning resources. “Our new anatomy lab will be integral to educating the next generation of physicians,” said Dr. Ward Ulmer, president of Trinity School of Medicine. “It’s also a meaningful way to honor all that Steve and Sally Wilson have done to build and nurture this institution from the very beginning.”
