Sugar Mill International Academy

The Trinity School of Medicine is pleased to announce an affiliation agreement has been established with the Sugar Mill International Academy. This institution offers instruction from Kindergarten through Grade 6 and is available to serve the children of students and faculty. The Academy has an outstanding track record and the personalized instruction provides the type of support and assistance that is so crucial in the early educational years (primary education). The rates for attendance are quite reasonable, and we will provide that information upon request.

Classes are conducted five (5) days a week and a pickup service will be provided to transport students to and from the Academy. We will also offer child care from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. so that students and faculty do not need to be concerned about conflicts with planned instructional sessions.

The faculty will meet the same criteria required for certification in the United States and children will thus be eligible to promote to the appropriate grade level upon return to the United State or Canada.

Please read the following information provided by the Academy. If you have additional questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us. The following statements describe the overall mission and expectations of those who attend the school.

Trinity School of Medicine

The Mission statement of the school is as follows:
Sugar Mill International Academy is committed to educate every student by providing the skills, knowledge and values necessary to be capable and concerned participants in a global community.

The Whole Child Approach:
Our approach is based on the philosophy that a child learns best within a social environment which supports each child's individual and unique development.

Our Primary goal is to help each child reach full potential in all areas of life. The holistic curriculum, under the direction of a qualified teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning, time to enjoy the process, ensures the development of self-esteem and provides the experiences from which children create knowledge.

Encouraging Creativity: Creativity flourishes in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance. We recognize that children learn and express themselves in a very individual way. Music, art, storytelling, movement and drama encourage creative development and the opportunity for both verbal and non-verbal modes of learning.

Sugar Mill International Academy Believes:
Students: School Staff and Community Our programs, which are based on teacher-assisted, self-directed, non-competitive activities, help to develop good self-images and the confidence to face new challenges and change with optimism.
