Scholarships Available
from Trinity School of Medicine
Trinity has numerous scholarships available to students entering the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program for the September, 2010 term. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the academic qualifications that the student provides in their application for admission. Acceptance by the Admissions Department qualifies the student for scholarship elibiligy. It is not necessary to apply separately for a scholarship.
Award Level: $30,000 - $50,000
$3,000 - $5,000 per term through 10 terms
This merit-based scholarship is limited and may not be available every term. Trinity's Admission Department and the President will select the individuals whose qualifications warrant consideration for this award.

This scholarship is merit- based and exclusively for citizens of Caribbean countries. These scholarships are limited and may not be available every term. Students who meet the eligibility and admission requirements will likely qualify. Trinity's Admission Department and the Scholarship Committee will select the individuals whose qualifications warrant consideration for this award.

This scholarship is merit- based and exclusively for Vincentian citizens. These scholarships are limited to one per year and are offered each January to a Vincentian presented by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This scholarship pays the entirety of the student's tuition for the ten-term Doctor of Medicine degree program. Vincentian citizens who meet the entrance requirements for Trinity School of Medicine and have been accepted into a term when a Vincentian Scholarship is not available may be eligible for a Caribbean Scholarship and may re-apply through the St. Vincent government to be accepted into the Vincentian Scholarship program the next year.

Scholarship Terms
This scholarship applies to tuition only. Student is responsible for the expenses related to:
- Books
- Living Expenses
- Travel Expenses
- Student Activity Fee (current $50 per term)
- Insurance
- All other applicable fees and services required for your MD degree
Each scholarship has its own terms and requirements and Trinity reserves the right to adjust these requirements without prior notice. Not all scholarships are applicable to all students. Scholarships are award based on the qualifications that a student meets once the application is received and reviewed by the scholarship committee. The amount of scholarships awarded is based on each terms scholarship funds and the number of qualified applicants. All scholarships require students to maintain a specific grade level while in medical school or they lose the scholarship until the grade level is attained. Trinity reserves the right to make exceptions to the requirements of the available scholarships in special circumstances.
President's Scholarship Qualification and Continuation Requirements
- Accepted by Trinity School of Medicine's Admissions Department
- 3.2 GPA or better in core prerequisite curriculum in accredited undergraduate school
- MCAT score of 30 or greater
- Maintain B+ average each term. Any term where your average falls below the minimum, the subsequent terms will be without scholarship until the B+ average is reinstated.
- You must maintain a record free of violations of school policies as detailed in the student handbook. Violations of school policies may forfeit the scholarship completely or for a specific term or period terms as determined by the school administration.

Dean's Scholarship Qualification and Continuation Requirements

- 3.2 GPA or better in core prerequisite curriculum in accredited undergraduate school

- Maintain B average each term. Any term where your average falls below the minimum, the subsequent terms will be without scholarship until the B average is reinstated.
- You must maintain a record free of violations of school policies as detailed in the student handbook. Violations of school policies may forfeit the scholarship completely or for a specific term or period terms as determined by the school administration.

- 3.0 GPA or better in core prerequisite curriculum in accredited undergraduate school
- MCAT score of 27 or greater
- Maintain B average each term. Any term where your average falls below the minimum, the subsequent terms will be without scholarship until the B average is reinstated.
- You must maintain a record free of violations of school policies as detailed in the student handbook. Violations of school policies may forfeit the scholarship completely or for a specific term or period terms as determined by the school administration.

Caribbean Scholarship Qualification and Continuation Requirements
- Accepted by Trinity School of Medicine's Admissions Department
- Undergraduate grades in core prerequisites are key indicators to future performance and therefore are given significant attention in the admissions process
- Caribbean Citizen of an Island Nation that is recognized by the United States without visa restrictions.
- Maintain B average each term. Any term where your average falls below the minimum, the subsequent terms will be without scholarship until the B average is reinstated.
- You must maintain a record free of violations of school policies as detailed in the student handbook. Violations of school policies may forfeit the scholarship completely or for a specific term or period terms as determined by the school administration.

Vincentian Scholarship Qualification and Continuation Requirements
- Accepted by Trinity School of Medicine's Admissions Department
- High achievement in undergraduate pre-requisites
- Citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Apply through our web site application process. Make note that you have received government approval in the application. We will verify with government officials. You must have government approval prior to be considered for this scholarship.
- You may apply for the Caribbean Scholarship in lieu of the Vincentian Scholarship.

This scholarship is part of our commitment to the Island Nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in an effort to train and retain more Vincentian nationals on the island to serve as physicians and for the betterment of health care resources to care for Vincentians in the future.
